Unlike most sites out there,
szwajn.net operates exclusively on own hardware, which consists of older desktops, POS machinery and other retired desktop stuff.
While VPS are generally seen as more convenient, they don't offer that much freedom and control as physically owned hardware. And heck, own hardware is more fun!
Currently the primary server is yuri, which is a HP Elitebook SFF desktop. He's operating XMPP since end of 05/2025 and became a primary somewhere in June of same year.
